The Dixon Ticonderoga Company is an office and art supplies maker, with headquarters in Heathrow, FL. Dixon offers a number of distinctive brands that empower people to take conscious and subliminal thoughts, facts, ideas and dreams, and preserve them using tools that are simply extensions of themselves. One of the most well-known is Ticonderoga - the yellow No.2 pencil. Other brands include Dixon and Oriole pencils, Dixon Industrial products, Prang school and art supplies and Lyra art products.

Dixon Ticonderoga needed a marketing site to promote their "industrial" line of marking products that retained elements from their central brand, but appealed to the rough-and-ready clientele and environments that these products would be used in. Dixon also wanted to have a demonstration section of the site showing how examples of their marking products behaved on different surfaces and temperatures. All products on the site are pulled directly from an enterprise mainframe system, but are web-enhanced via a custom backoffice product management system.
